The function of art, as I see it, is to encourage thought-- from the artist to the viewer. As the artist it is important to search out challenges in creativity and composition. I expect my work to feel fresh and be fascinating to its viewer. In our chaotic world, my sculptural work in copper and other metals seems to evoke feelings of comfort. For the art spectator, art describes the concerns, passions, and intentions of our culture - from artistic freedoms to social awareness.
