Originally from New England, I have lived many years in Salt Lake City where I pursue art for fun and as a part-time livelihood. I am active on the board of the Utah Watercolor Society, and participate in local art events where I have won several awards.
I feel I have recently come to a critical crossroads in my own art. In an effort to continue with personal artistic growth, my newest work will be a courageous step for me- a step that moves away from more realistic pieces you see now, but one that I feel is more expressive. My current series is more abstract, using strong textures and line. It is a series of work showing our connection to music and dance - a connection that has influenced us since primitive times. This connection often feels elusive to me, and I want the viewer to feel that through my art.
